Happy 2013, y’all! It’s that time of year again when we all become a little neurotic and decide that it’s time to start better habits. Eat healthier, shed a few pounds, stop with nasty habits … we’ve all heard those before.  I wasn’t planning on creating resolutions this year, but throughout the day, I came up with some things I’d like to adhere to in 2013. We can always improve on something, right?

Make More Me Time. With a hectic schedule, I don’t always allow myself to enjoy life and have “me” time. Whether it’s catching up on a new novel or taking the dog for an extra long walk, this year is my year to enjoy myself. Life is too short .

Wear heels more. If you saw my shoe closet you’d think I only wore heels (heels for days!). Unfortunately  I don’t wear them as often as you’d think. Being only 5’2″, girl needs some height in 2013 ;)

Go natural. I admit it, I spend entirely too much time blow drying & straightening my hair. Since I was 14 years old, I’ve rarely embraced my natural curly hair. Curls for 2013.

D0 you have any resolutions?

She Believed She Could, So She Did!

It’s that time of year again when we all get that idea in our heads that maybe we can improve ourselves and kick those bad habits to the curb. Yep, New Year’s resolutions. Like many, at the beginning of each year, I try to come up with a few things that will make my life easier and things that I want to accomplish over the year. What’s on my list this year?

Read at least 15 books. I love reading, but with my hectic schedule, I find myself always putting it aside.

Send more mail. With my love for stationary, you would think I send out cards everyday. Wrong. This year I hope to utilize my growing stationary stock pile and send out heartfelt cards to my friends and family.

Wear it or toss it. This is big for me. I’m pretty sure I have more clothes than Paris Hilton. Seriously, it’s bad. This year? Donate what I haven’t worn in the last 6 months.

Go Natural. I was looking at some of the ingredients in my beauty products the other day … holy chemicals! Definitely things that you should not be putting on your body. Over the weekend, I bought all new products that were made with natural ingredients to help my “go natural” vow.

Do you have a New Year’s resolution?
