My mom hosted her annual Christmas party over the weekend. The party that I promised to make cookies for. The party I completely forgot about until 2 hours until the party started (whomp, whomp, whomp). I whipped up a batch of my family’s favorite sugar cookie recipe, for they’re quick to make, yet decadent. I jazzed up them up with a basic royal icing and decorated them in festive patterns (I mean, if you consider neon green and red that’s nearly hot pink festive that is…).
My favorite cookie? This little guy above that my sister decorated.
I apologize for the homely photos, I’m really hoping Santa is reading this and brings me a natural light lamp for the days when the sun doesn’t make an appearance.
